What distinguishes coaching from therapy?

Coaching focuses on achieving specific goals and improving personal or professional development within a clearly defined period of time. Therapy, on the other hand, often treats deeper psychological disorders in a comprehensive process that takes place over one or more years. The topic of “emotional balance” and “behavioral change” initiate both approaches.

Does hypnosis always work?

The effectiveness of hypnosis is individual and can vary from person to person. While many people experience positive changes, success depends on various factors such as openness, motivation and the particular situation. Hypnosis can help with many issues, but may not be equally effective for every issue or every person. It is important to have realistic expectations and to see the process as a personal development journey.

When can I notice changes after a hypnosis session?

According to Marisa Peer, there are three types of changes that can occur through hypnosis - each person reacts differently:

1. Immediate changes: You experience noticeable changes in your body, thoughts and behavior directly during the session.

2. Cumulative changes: Over time, you notice continuous and consistent progress on a daily basis.

3. Retrospective changes: The changes are not immediately apparent, but eventually you look back and realize how much has changed in your life.

Can it happen that I get “stuck” in hypnosis?

It is extremely unlikely that you will remain “stuck” in hypnosis. Hypnosis is a natural state that we often experience, for example when driving a car. In such moments, we find ourselves in a relaxed trance in which we are aware of our surroundings and at the same time immersed in our thoughts. This state is created through concentration and relaxation, whereby you remain in control of your thoughts and your well-being at all times. When you make the clear decision to come out of hypnosis, this thought is enough to end the session. Your safety and comfort are paramount and it is important that you feel comfortable with the process. If you have any concerns, don't hesitate to raise them - we are on this journey together and I am here to support you.
